Title: I’ll Tell You My Sins (And You Can Sharpen Your Knife)
Author: [livejournal.com profile] the_deep_magic
Fandom: Teen Wolf
Pairing: Derek/Stiles
Word Count: 2,526
Rating: NC-17
Warnings: religious themes, rough sex, implied consent, knotting, bloodplay, brief allusions to bestiality and (blink and you’ll miss it) mpreg
Disclaimer: Hopefully Jeff Davis and George R.R. Martin have enough money between them that they don’t need to sue me.
Summary: (Game of Thrones/A Song of Ice and Fire AU) Derek is the rightful king of Westeros, ruler of the Seven Isles, and Azor Ahai reborn, yet his uncle sits on the Iron Throne.  Stiles’ god has promised Derek a victory of fire, but has yet to deliver.
Notes: Stannis!Derek/Melisandre!Stiles You don’t need to be familiar with GoT/ASoIaF to understand this, nor are there spoilers unless you really don’t want to know anything at all about the characters.  Title from Hozier’s “Take Me to Church,” because it seemed… appropriate.  Link takes you to AO3.

It’s the red glow of his eyes that Derek will never really get used to.

This time I didn't write up 3.19 before watching 3.20, but it's all fucked anyway.  Okay, not completely -- I had been preparing myself for worse -- but two Jeff Davis episodes in a row?  We are but sinners in the hands of an angry God.

3.19 Letharia Vulpina )

And not we move onto the hot mess that is...

3.20 Echo House )

::whine:: This half-season started so promisingly.  Kinda.

I'll go ahead and put my reactions to the last two TW episodes in one post since I'm so far behind.  However, I did type up my stuff on 3.17 before I watched 3.18.

3.17 Silverfinger )

3.18 Riddled )

Pleeeeeeease, TW PTB (i.e. Jeff Davis), don't fuck this up!  You've got a good thing going!
the_deep_magic: A nightmare inexplicably torn from the pages of Kafka! (TW: subtle)
Sorry my write-up is a bit late, but I've all but given up on livestreaming, and then Tuesday and Wednesday are my busiest days.  I know how breathless you all are with anticipation to hear what I'm going to bitch about this week.

3.15 Galvanize )

So... yeah.

Title: Tease a Little More
Author: [livejournal.com profile] the_deep_magic
Fandom: Teen Wolf RPS
Pairing: Dylan/Hoechlin
Word Count: 3,762
Rating: NC-17
Warnings/Promises: dirty talk, shower sex, intercrural
Disclaimer: I don’t know these people, I just make up enjoyable lies about them.
Summary: Dylan may have the pretty pink lips, but Tyler’s got the hottest mouth, hands down.
A/N: Because it was going to happen sooner or later.  Vaguely inspired by this Tumblr post.  Title from (::sigh::) “Pour Some Sugar on Me," because it was either that or something much worse from “Talk Dirty to Me.”

'Toys? Positions? Barry White music?' )

the_deep_magic: A nightmare inexplicably torn from the pages of Kafka! (TW: Stiles & Erica)
Not a whole lot to say about this one, though I did facepalm pretty hard when I saw the title.

3.14 More Bad Than Good )

Okay, maybe I had more to say than I thought.  I'm worried about the plethora of plotlines -- they seem to grow exponentially with each season -- but I'm trying to enjoy the fun* before the inevitable meltdown.

*For minimal values of "fun"
the_deep_magic: A nightmare inexplicably torn from the pages of Kafka! (TW: he can do it)

Like the glutton for punishment that I am, I'm back for more Teen Wolf.  Season 3b/4/whatever had a pretty strong opening... which I know is just going to make it worse when it all goes pear-shaped.

3.13 Anchors  )

I'm trying to enjoy the little sapling of hope before it gets thoroughly crushed by episode... let's be generous and say four.  Sigh...  If you ask me, it was a mistake to abandon the campiness and embrace the horror, because it forces a show about werewolf teenagers and friends to take itself super-seriously.  Taking away the light-heartedness drained much of the (non-ironic) fun.  Anyway, I'm keeping up my list of tv.com's recaps here; they are funnier than mine and have pictures.

Pairing: Derek/Stiles
Rating: NC-17
Word Count: 22,595
Warnings: domestic violence, car crash, standard Kate warning (if you’d like more information, please see end notes)
Disclaimer: These characters don’t belong to me; I’m just playing with them
Summary: It is 100% against Beacon Hills Sheriff’s Office policy to allow two officers engaged in a romantic relationship to be partners.  It is also 100% accurate that no one else on the force can last more than three days in a car with Stiles without begging for either a ball gag or the sweet release of death.
A/N: This is a sequel to Cherrybomb.  Quick primer if you haven’t read it: Peter was killed in the fire along with Derek’s family, save for Laura.  Mrs. Stilinski is alive, but the Sheriff was killed while on duty when Stiles was ten.  Stiles, a reformed juvenile delinquent thanks in a large part to Officer Derek Hale, joined the Beacon Hills police after high school.
A/N II: As always, my eternal gratitude to [livejournal.com profile] aliassmith for the feedback and cheerleading!  The amazing art was drawn by [livejournal.com profile] maichan and the full-size pic can be found here.

One of these days, Derek is going to realize there are some arguments he’s just never going to win. Today is not that day. )

Title: Likes, Dislikes, and Necessities
Author: [livejournal.com profile] the_deep_magic
Fandom: Teen Wolf
Pairings: established Derek/Stiles with additional Derek/Lydia, Derek/Isaac, Derek/Erica, and Derek/Boyd
Rating: NC-17
Word Count: 4,817
Warnings: open relationship, gangbang, voyeurism/exhibitionism
Disclaimer: These are not my characters.
Summary: It was something he’d never known he’d wanted until Derek brought it up: Derek receiving the intimate attentions of his entire pack, giving himself over to them, trusting them enough to take him apart and put him back together again.
A/N: Takes place in an alternate, happier universe several years after season 2, inspired by this gif + tag.  What started out as a fill for the “decadence” square on my Kink Bingo card turned into… this.  Now I don’t even know if it counts, but I dare you to find a fluffier, more indulgent gangbang fic.  I DARE YOU.

Derek Hale wants to be the center of a gangbang. )

Rating: NC-17
Word Count: 7,243
Warning: knotting
Disclaimer: Definitely not making any money on this.
Summary: entelechy (n): a realization or actuality as opposed to a potentiality
A/N: This was originally a fill for a [livejournal.com profile] mating_games fic challenge, but the first draft was 3,000 words over the 750-word limit.  I put up a partially expanded version in my reveal post, but this is the whole story as I wanted to tell it.  Diverges from canon after season 2.

'I couldn't let you go.' )

Thoughts.  I have a lot of 'em.  They're not particularly well-organized, but I'll try not to repeat too much from my last rant.  And I swear, I'll lay off Scott.

3.12 Lunar Ellipse )

Sigh... I'll probably keep watching this show as long as both Derek and Stiles are on it.  I really don't care if they become a canon couple -- in fact, I'd pretty much rather they didn't, which is good because while Jeff Davis talks a big game, we got maybe 5 minutes total of Danny/Ethan and no character development other than "he's cute, guess I'll fuck him."  I can survive on UST.  Hell, I thrive on it.  They'd just better put Stiles and Derek in the same fucking room together for more than 30 seconds in 3b.  All I ask for is snark.  Fisting references are awesome, but I can live on snark, even if this show as a whole is bad for my mental health.
the_deep_magic: (In which Jayne is wise)
After about half an hour of wavering, I went ahead and watched the leaked version of the midseason finale, because it's not like I watch it legally anyway.  The thoughts I post after each episode are made after at least two viewings, so I'll probably post more specifics after Monday night.

Spoilery spoilers of spoileriness )

Ugh, okay, I'd better stop now.  Be prepared for more on Monday, though.  I want to start writing ALL THE FIX-IT FIC and the episode hasn't even aired yet.  If anybody would like to give their thoughts on why I should like this episode, please do.
the_deep_magic: A nightmare inexplicably torn from the pages of Kafka! (Default)
The livestream didn't load on time and I missed the first 5 minutes of the episode.  Turned out they were the BEST 5 minutes of the episode.  Anyway...

3.11 Alpha Pact  )

I have a hunch they're going to wrap up a lot less in this mid-season finale than I thought they would... or they're going to do it all upsettingly quick and simple, like stabbifying Jackson into werewolfdom.  My guess is that they wrap up the Darach storyline, but I have trouble seeing how they could even do that satisfactorily in one episode.

Title: Shoebox Menagerie
Author: [livejournal.com profile] the_deep_magic
Fandom: Teen Wolf
Pairing: Erica/Stiles
Rating: NC-17
Word Count: 3,505
Warning: underage (though there’s nothing to specifically indicate this)
Spoilers: none
Disclaimer: These characters aren’t mine.
Summary: Stiles’ research has let him down.  Seems what he needs is a more hands-off approach.
A/N: For the “voyeurism” square on my Kink Bingo card.  And also because I just wanted some angst-free Erica appreciation.

'It’s just… it’s not happening.' )

the_deep_magic: A nightmare inexplicably torn from the pages of Kafka! (Scrubs - headdesk)
Brace yourself: this one's gonna be long.  That's what he said.

3.10 The Overlooked  )

In conclusion: everybody knows things about each other that they have no reason to know, except anything that could possibly be important to achieving their various goals.  I kinda liked the first half of the episode when I watched it on Monday; now the whole thing just pisses me off more.  I've said it before and I'll say it again: what kills me about this show is not that it's uniformly awful.  It's that it has such potential and moments of occasional brilliance... that are all wasted on shoehorning together a convoluted attempt at a mystery plot with werewolf violence.  At least in past seasons there were more shirtless dudes to act as a buffer.
