Okay, I don’t know how well this meme is going to work with mine, since I tend toward either very descriptive titles or “Untitled,” but everyone else is playing at it looks like fun.  Stolen from, well, everybody.

Post the names of all the files in your WIP folder, regardless of how non-descriptive or ridiculous.

Choose one (1), and I will post a random line or two.

And I like therumjournals' idea of also giving background info, word count, and chance it will be completed.  Pairing should almost always be a no-brainer.

I was nice and only included RPF and Star Trek WIPs going back to July 2009.  Otherwise, you’d get fragments of Bones and The Pretender and Sliders and a laughably misguided stab at super-G-rated Remus/Sirius.

Sigh... I want to finish this one so badly. I think it's just going to end up being a series of gen pairing vignettes rather than something with an actual, like, plot. I've got about 1200 words so far, and I'd give this one a 75% chance of getting finished. Eventually. Ahem.

Oh, by the by, the entire purpose of this fic is to get Zoe and Spock in the same room together, both before and after the events in Serenity. They just seem like kindred spirits to me. But I'm going to quote a different part entirely:

“I hit him once. Punched him right in that pretty little face.” Giotto sighs happily.

“Nuh-uh,” grunts the big ogre in front of him, allowing liberal glimpses of the half-masticated protein bar in his mouth as he chews.

“This was before he was captain. Before Starfleet even. Though I did once get to haul his unconscious body to an escape pod and strand him on an ice planet.”

If Giotto’s not mistaken, the big guy is actually… tearing up? “I have dreams about that, sometimes. Only it’s usually a desert planet, and Mal is beggin’ me to leave him with some water. But I punch him in the face instead.”

and yes- spock and zoe are cut from the same cloth. and kaylee and scotty would have *so* much fun. and bones... would get simon tam blisteringly drunk, mocking him for the useless emo pansy that he is the whole time.

Kaylee and Scotty are fighting like cats at the moment because Kaylee is NOT as impressed with the Enterprise as Scotty thinks she should be, but I have a feeling all that fighting is going to turn into something else...

And I hadn't started writing the Simon/Bones one yet. I may have to consider your scenario...
