The fire trucks are comin' up around the bend

Okay, while I'm trying my damnedest to get some stuff finished, how about a meme?  Because that will surely help my productivity...  Anyway, I saw this on [livejournal.com profile] 1lostone's journal when I was going back through some old posts and I thought I'd steal it.

Give me a link to one of my fics and I'll give you a detail that didn't make it into the fic - it could be background canon, deleted material (if I still have it), the music that helped me set the mood or a look into the future - or it could be a question about inspiration, the writing process, research, etc.

I've Got You:

I really, really felt for Chris after that one Bean posted about the Inishmore talk back where that nasty woman had gone after Chris for his Irish accent. Though I didn't see the show, I imagine he worked very hard on it, and from what I've seen of his work, he's very good with accents much better than Zach, sorry bb, you know I love you. He strikes me as someone who is very sensitive to criticism, but is ashamed about it and thinks he should be tougher. Plus, I just wanted to write some straight-up comfort fic. I really do hope Chris has someone to take care of him, to tell him how awesome he is, because I think he needs to hear it. :o(

Eleven Conversations:

This was such a fun one to write! I think I wrote all of the bad!sex scenes first. The prompt was simply "Chris is more experienced at gay sex than Zach" and somehow it ended up like it did. Also! I found out after I'd written it that Chris' mom had actually guest starred on an episode of Gunsmoke way back in the day. Not sure if she was one of the ladies in Miss Kitty's, er, "saloon."

First:

I have such a thing for virginity!fics, which are obviously pretty hard to do for non-AU RPF. Also, I think this was the first time I wrote in first person POV -- that's just the way the story presented itself to me in my head. I'd been reading a lot of Beedle's stuff, and I worried I was going to start imitating her voice, but I don't think that ended up being a problem. And I love this fic -- it might be my most romantic, and I think I struck a good balance between the present and the flashbacks to other firsts.

sorry to interfere, but i just had to say something about that accent thing.
i saw the show, and i was amazed how well he was able to pull off an irish accent! i mean, he usually has a very strong californian one, but he did a really good job regardless. so i was really furious when i read about that stupid woman last year :(
