Redemption! (kinda)
Feb. 16th, 2012 11:46 pmOur model tonight was the same from week two, which was actually a good thing -- I could redeem myself for a drawing I wasn't particularly fond of.

Hmm, I think this one actually looks better in person than on camera -- interesting how the camera (probably the flash) changes things. Anyway, the teacher was much more complimentary this week, possibly because I saved the eyes for last. ;o) Unfortunately, he also insisted that, even though I wasn't drawing any lower than her neck, I put in the shadow that her head cast against the backdrop (to give it dimension?), so that's not actually a meteor hurtling towards her face. But overall, I think I did a much better job, despite the slightly wonky eyes again. I'm getting damned good at ears, though, despite the fact that I completely ignored her dangly earrings. We haven't learned dangly earrings yet.
On a completely different note... Is it weird that I'm a little worried about Stephen Colbert?
