Watched Princess Diaries 2 today and, uh, wow.  Good on John Rhys-Davies for keeping a straight face while saying the line "Someone might try to take your crown... someone like me."  A lesser actor might've gone for the full mustache twirl or maniacal mad-scientist laughter just then, but JR-D always keeps it classy.  I did have to fast forward once Raven-Simone got up on stage with Julie Andrews.  My vicarious embarrassment, let me show you it.  Hope that check cleared, Julie.

But yeah, okay, Chris was adorable, and I'm sure it was a fun set to work on.  Don't know why they cut out that scene in the kitchen with him doing the impressions of the other suitors -- it was hilarious... and kind of hot.  Am I the only one who thinks he does a really good job with accents?  Better than ZQ; bb, I love you, but stick to your normal sexy voice.  And it's a crime that he only wears those thick-framed glasses in one short scene, because unf.

There needs to be more Pinto glasses porn.  So, y'know, all of you get on that. ;o)

Fantastic K/S fic: Red Shift by jane_potter.  It's got possessive!Spock that's juuuuust this side of too possessive, but it's done in a really sympathetic and believable way.  Come (hurrr) for the blisteringly hot wall sex, stay for the excellent characterization.

True story: in college, my roommate liked to have the TV on in the background, and this was around the time they had Miss Congeniality on CONSTANT repeat on TNT (who am I kidding -- they still do), so I know it pretty much by heart. I'm convinced the Shat is pretty much playing himself.

Dammit, I do NOT need to start another long fic. I've already got a zillion in the works that I don't want to start posting until I know I can finish them within a reasonable time, but now you've got gay!pageant!ZQ lodged in my brain. Grrrrrr...

I could not agree with you more. The entire bridal shower/slumber party really skeeves me out. As I've said before I thought mattress surfing was for the wedding night. And a 21-year-old woman who is about to embark on an arranged marriage should have STRIPPERS ( Damn you, Disney). I also love the kitchen scene. Leaving it in would not only have given us more Chris Pine, but it would have shown, IDK, plot development. It's always bothered me that she goes from hating him to loving him without any scenes to support that development (sorry, my inner screenwriter is showing). Anyway, I wish Chris would get the chance to do another movie with Anne Hathaway. They have great chemistry, and now that they're older, it could be really steamy! :D
