Okay, I've just seen Harry Potter 7 for the second time, and I have a question.
When Harry's fighting Nagini in Bathilda Bagshot's house, at one point they crash through the wall into what looks like a brightly lit nursery. The first time I saw the movie, I thought they were going to have Harry flash back to the night his parents died. I checked, and that's what happens in the book. But there's definitely no flashback in the movie -- it's an actual, physical room -- and it's never mentioned again. Is it some kind of giant editing mistake? IMDb, for once, has no answer!
Before the movie, there was a preview for The Green Lantern, and so my sister leans over to me...
Sister: So... it's just like Spiderman?
Me: Yeah, pretty much like every other superhero movie ever. He gets superpowers...
Sister: Like Clark Kent?
Me: Well, he was actually born with his powers, so--
Sister: Wait, Batman was born with his powers?
Me: ...
Sister: Oh, right, he's Superman! So who's Batman again?
::epic facepalm::
Happy Thanksgiving to everyone! I've always loved this holiday (possibly in relation to my love of food), and I think it's a bit of a shame that it gets mowed over by Christmas every year. Ah, well. Enjoy your cranberry-sauce-in-the-shape-of-the-can!

Date: 2010-11-25 02:21 pm (UTC)How'd you like Harry and Hermione dancing? I thought it was completely adorable. I love that he wanted to cheer her up, and it was funny to me to show one moment of them not being so OMGMUSTFINDHORCRUXESNAO.

And I wasn't crazy about that scene the first time I saw it -- I thought it was kind of bizarre. But seeing it again, I realized it was kind of necessary to break up all the doom and gloom. It really was cute.
